How to get there?
From Brussels Airport
Trambus: Direct to Busworld and the International Bus Conference
A dedicated Trambus departs from the bus station at Brussels Airport and goes straight to Busworld and the International Bus Conference.
By Train: The train station is located directly under the departures and arrivals halls, at level -1. The platform is easily reached by lift or escalator. Up to 6 trains an hour connect the airport to Brussels Central Station (approximately 20 min. travel time).
From Brussels Central Station
> Metro route 5 direction ERASME
> Get off at BEEKKANT (5 stations)
> Then take the Metro route 6 direction ROI BAUDOUIN
> Get off at HEYSEL (8 stations)

From Brussels Midi/Zuid Station
You will need two badges to access the venue & conference. Make sure to collect them accordingly:
- Your Busworld Exhibition e-Badge will be sent to you via email: you must download it, print it and bring it on site in order to access the venue.
- Your International Bus Conference Badge will be distributed on-site at the registration desks.
Both badges are essential for your attendance at our conference.

• You will receive an email from Busworld with the Exhibition e-Badge.
• You must download it and print it in order to access the events venue.
• A second email will be sent by Busworld in a couple of days comprising information on your Free Public Transport Pass.
We ask that you do not forget to download, print and bring the Busworld Exhibition e-badge with you. If you are unable to do so, or forget it, you will need to go to the Main Entrance Registration Area (Hall 2) and ask for a duplicate.

Your International Bus Conference Badge must be picked up on-site at the following registration desks:

Your Conference Badge alone will not grant you access to Busworld Exhibition.
Our conference programme is available online. Hard copies will also be distributed on-site to all participants.
As part of your International Bus Conference registration you are also welcome to attend the following Immersion Experience activities – however you must register to each of them individually.
• Bus Project Talks and Networking
Meet the experts from innovative EU funded projects and other UITP initiatives about buses combined with live demonstrations in the Busworld Europe exhibition. Discover and learn more about the projects and how they are changing the sector.
Register for the Bus Project Talks and Networking. Registration will take place on a first come / first served basis.
• Technical Visit: E-mobility turnkey solutions. Electric buses fleet operated by STIB Brussels.
Organised in collaboration with the public transport operator in Brussels STIB/MIVB, see innovation in action and ask the questions that matter.
Interpretation into French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese will be available during the Opening Ceremony and Plenaries on Tuesday 22/10 together with all parallel sessions taking place in room 321 on Wednesday 23/10.

Lunch and Coffee Breaks:
A hot lunch is provided to conference delegates on Wednesday 23 Oct.
Coffee and cakes will be served on Tuesday 22 Oct in the afternoon and throughout the day on Wednesday 23 Oct.

Through our official housing partner, the Brussels Booking Desk, reduced rates for the UITP International Bus Conference are

Do I need a visa to travel to Belgium?
How can I receive an invitation letter?
To receive an invitation letter for the International Bus Conference, you must first register and pay the registration fee in full. Send an email to the firstname.lastname@example.org in case you need to have more information about the visa invitation letter.
What if my visa is rejected, do I get my ticket reimbursed?
Should you not be granted entry to Belgium, the registration fee will be reimbursed (minus a € 150 handling fee) if and only if you provide the email@example.com with an official document from the Belgian Embassy or Consulate rejecting the visa and proving that the application was made at least four weeks before the event.
