Electric bus development in Moscow. First results. Further steps
Mosgortrans pays great attention to the passengers’ safety and reliability of the services we provide. However, we feel responsible not only for passengers, but for the environment as well. In compliance with these principles, the rolling stock is constantly renewed, under both life-cycle contracts and standard procurement. In this regard, we have elaborated e-bus fleet development program. In 2018 we started our electrobus project, purchased 300 pieces (and 98 charging stations), and now are preparing tendering procedures for 300 pieces more. Until 2020, we plan to purchase 300 vehicles yearly under the 15-year LCC, and starting 2021 Moscow aims to stop purchasing diesel buses, opting instead for an entirely electric fleet.
