Consulting Division, SYSTRA
Paris, FranceMarc Boudier is an engineer specialized in public transport operations. After graduating from the top French engineering school Centrale Paris (ECP), he began his career in the industry sector, before joining the private public transport operator KEOLIS, a subsidiary of SNCF (French national railway company) and a world leader in public transport operations. For more than 6 years, he held different positions at KEOLIS: operations assistant, manager and finally director of a 230 persons operations center, running both urban and interurban (bus and coach) network contracts.rMarc has a strong experience in public transportation operations (urban, interurban, demand-responsive transport). His key qualifications include public transport operations management, transport network and service optimization, network productivity (key performance indicators), public transport contract implementation and execution, safety policy implementation, public transport bids, energy transition. On this last point, Marc is skilled for all cleaner technologies : electricity slow/fast charging, CNG, hydrogene, renewable fuel. He helps authorities to define their energy strategy going from energy production, depot conversion to operation plan for their transport network.Marc joined the Consultancy Division at SYSTRA in November 2017 as an operations expert. He works in the Transport Network Optimization unit and is involved mainly in urban transport operation studies: transport planning, implementation of bus networks, optimization, running time simulations (bus, tram), and vehicle/crew scheduling and electromobility, energy transition.
Energy transition : Discover how to optimize your electrical infrastructure with our application THES
In Europe and in the world, the second greenhouse gaz emissions source comes from transport sector. One of the means to address the issue for bus&coaches public transport network is energy transition towards cleaner energy. Besides, European Union has fixed objectives per country but some are going further.
The aim of the presentation is to focus on Systra solution for electric bus&coach network. Indeed, Systra a world recognized company in transport system engineering has developped an application based on smart charging functionalities in order to optimize by 30%-50% the electrical infrastructure required at depot, one of the main investment for electrical mobility solution. We will show you how to digitize a transport plan and find the best taylor-made solution for a given transport network.
